Lerp's Box of Learning Opportunities
A downloadable collection of toys for Windows
A collection of gizmos and gadgets that never came to be. Who knows. Maybe one day in the future I might pick these things back up. But likely not.
Bloons RPG (temporary):
Roguelike turn-based endless (not endless) combat sim based on the Bloons Tower Defense franchise. This will probably be my first and last ever fangame. Probably. Save feature doesn't actually write, so progress is lost on closing the game. Also later waves will enter debug waves if I recall correctly, and then unlimited waves of nothing. If it doesn't break along the way. I believe I wrote this entirely from scratch using Java. Honestly had a lot of potential, but I don't dare touch it again.
Verdict: Almost Playable.

Gerg2:
Minimal graphics incremental game. Very stupid. I made it as a joke in between classes (and totally 100% not during them). I was losing my mind because of how boring classes were during that time, and was often playing idle games during lecture. And unfortunately I have the average pee-brain response of wanting to make a game the same genre as the ones I've been playing lately. Crashes at 1.7e308 or something like that, so I significantly nerfed scaling, progress grinds to a halt past 1e40 or something I think. Was my first project on Godot, so it was basically just to learn how to use it. Oh I also would like to state that I named the currency "goonite" before I was aware of the modern denotation of 'goon.' Why y'all gotta ruin some of my favorite words.
Verdict: Playable.

Unnamed Card Game:
Minimal graphics not by choice this time, but simply because it was a prototype. I was intending for this one to actually be a full game, though I got caught up in other stuff before finishing it. Click and drag ally units onto enemy ones to attack them. I didn't finish the roguelike deck builder aspects that were initially intended, which is excusable, but I didn't even finish the actual cards in the "card" game. Also made in Godot. BEWARE: This one doesn't have a quit button in game, so you just have to close it manually.
Verdict: Unplayable.

Turn Based RPG Framework:
I think unfinished graphics might be a theme amongst my projects here. Which makes sense, considering I'm primarily a programmer and designer, so art takes a back seat on my list of priorities. That being said, I actually learned how to use Godot's control nodes this time! There's plenty of jank and bad practice in this one, but at least now I know how they operate for next time. Although the in game features are lackluster, the architecture is soo expandable and ready to be fleshed out that I'm pretty proud of it, despite everything.
Verdict: Playable?
